Here’s the details on my penny stock challenge.
I’ve loaded up the lessons in the dashboard and a journal. I encourage you to look over those when you have time.
This will be swing trading stocks under $10 for 5-20% gains or 10% stop losses. I tend to scale in and out of trade and hold times will be 1-4 days.
If a swing trade moves 5-20% on the day it’s entered I tend to take profit and think that’s wise.
To start we’ll do some paper trading so everyone can get a feel for the education, watchlist and trade alerts. I’m using TD’s simulator for now and don’t like it because there’s no pre and post market trading. I’ll prolly just use a spreadsheet instead but we’ll see.
I’ll get the journal updated today, right now it reflects my challenge from 2011-2016. But I wanted you to see the tabs in the old journal to get a feel for the action. Those were all real money trades.
Right now I’m in LASE at $1.39 with 20k shares, RNLX at $1.18 with 30k shares, and half size on VERI at $2.29 with 10k shares. Positions are usually $30k with a goal of 10-20% in 1-4 days. I almost always scale in and out of positions. Again, for now these are simulator trades. I want to lead by example, take it slow and get a feel for the speed of the price action, see if it’s for you or not.
Yesterday I locked in $500 on LASE and am up $1,000 currently on LASE. Slightly down on the other two positions. The key is to take profits when the market makes them available and be ready for spikes.
