Good morning Raging Bull!

Best of luck today!!

An “unexpected” contraction in GDP during the last quarter dropped the markets early but by the end of the day they had recovered to nearly flat.  I don’t know really why it was so unexpected given the need of companies to step back and plan how to cope with the “tariff” environment - in any case, the bad news didn’t affect things too long.

I’ve been urging caution based on the daily charts and while today’s recovery was a bullish sign as the SPY and QQQ both bounced off their AVWAP support lines (the IWM was up but did not make it back to AVWAP), until we start seeing BREAKS of the resistance lines at 50dma and upper AVWAP lines and the VRVP resistance peaks that caution is STILL warranted.

This was a weird day for me as far as my trades go.  Most of my positions finished about flat, some up a bit some down a bit and of course that is to be expected given the “flatness” of the markets as a whole.  However I was up BIG in my account due to one trade, CEP.

This was the trade I wrote about last week that I did based on my feelings instead of my normal analysis, and so far it has worked out fantastically.  Bitcoin (BTC) was down some most of the day but CEP was flying.  Why? All the other bitcoin stocks were down - MARA, IBIT, MSTR, CLSK …..

It’s because this is not a stock that relies primarily on the price of BTC to determine its fortunes.  Of course that will be a contributing factor to some degree, but this company is really trying to build a financial SYSTEM built on BTC instead of fiat currency.  It is therefore much more than a BTC aggregator (like MSTR) or any of the other companies that are adopting Michael Saylor’s MSTR strategy.  It is a collaboration among some real long-time heavyweights in the space (Tether, SoftBank, Jack Mallers [founder and CEO of Strike and Zap], and Cantor Fitzgerald), not some newcomer who doesn’t know the difference between BTC and Etherium and why they are not comparable to each other in any way, shape, or form that anyone can ever think of.  The rapidly rising share price reflects investors’ belief in the future of BTC as a financial system and not just a coin.

Given the lack of significant movement in any of my open positions today I did not close any of them, and given that I have a full plate already I wasn’t seeing any urgency to add more.   I did put on some earnings butterflies in MSFT, META, and HOOD as my normal lotto plays in this earnings system.

Good luck in all your trading today!

Taiku
